    • Charles Watson, CEO for Tropical Smoothie Cafe – the smoothie category leader and one of the fastest growing franchise brands over the past 10 years – will kick off the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Franchise Convention as the Keynote Speaker for the Opening General Session on Friday, October 4th.  Charles’ Keynote Address will share the franchising fundamentals that Tropical Smoothie Cafe (TSC) followed on their meteoric growth path as well as the important business milestones they achieved along the way.   At the heart of it all, Charles will also share the important culture and brand strategy commitment that was made by TSC to push through their “emerging brand” status to achieve the iconic status they hold today in the franchise marketplace and the parallels that he sees possible for Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii.

    • Iain Douglas, principal for Catalyst 247 and a renown consumer brand building expert, will deliver a Keynote Address to close out the Opening General Session of the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Franchise Convention.  In his General Session address, “Does Bad Ass Coffee Have What it Takes to be Iconic?” Iain will share the proven foundational structure for sustainable growth embraced by over 150 iconic brands and will explore the three questions that drive his differentiating approach: “Why should someone choose your brands products and services over competition?”; “Why should they care?”, and; “Why should you care?”.

What does Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii have in common with the most iconic brands and what is holding it back?  Iain’s perspective of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is unique as he was the original brand catalyst in December 2019 that facilitated the BAC Brand workshop to create the brand we’re proud of today.  Five years later, we’re bringing him back to approach our current challenges and opportunities from the lens of “what is possible?”  Don’t miss this thought-provoking session to answer the question “Does Bad Ass Coffee Have What It takes to Iconic?” and are you up for the challenge?
