Misma Lani Coffee Farms
Description
Victoria Magana Ledesma is the owner and founder of Misma Lani Farms on the Big Island of Hawaii. “Misma Lani is a family-owned & operated coffee farm that has supported a tight-knit Kona community on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi for more than 15 years. Misma Lani is a multi-generational Latino-owned farm located in Honaunau. The farm & coffee mill were a life-long dream that came to fruition after many years of manual labor, savings, and a whole lot of coffee love.

The daughter of Mexican immigrants who journeyed to the Big Island in the ‘90s to pick coffee, Victoria took over the family business when her father was deported in 2017.

Victoria’s family tree is rooted in Mexico and has fruited in Hawaiʻi. Misma meaning “same” in Spanish and Lani meaning “heaven or sky” in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi — this name both honors her family heritage and love for Hawaiʻi. “It reminds us that our loved ones are with us under the same sky despite the geographic separation we experience,” said Victoria.

Victoria’s labor of love to produce the highest quality coffee honors the generations that came before her and celebrates the resilience that is Misma Lani."
